Academic Convenor of CAWRI Dr Trisnasari Fraser talks to Dr Gillian Howell, Senior Research Fellow at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Gillian talks about her work using creative music making in schools and post-war settings. She discusses research processes in her work in the central Kimberley region in north-west Australia and we also hear from her co-researcher Patricia Cox. Trisna and Gillian discuss the use of music for first language revitalisation, participatory research, and skills that can be transferred from creative to research processes.
